The regular SnS Basic wasn't going to be the worst. In the past, the biggest hurdle was the upgrade cost.
We did get it renewed, but some additional money might become available and were interested in upgrading to Enterprise. Fast forward a few months to early March and now they said they weren't going to allow a 1 year renewal of our Standard but would do a 3 year and then to later say we made a special exception for your 1 year renewal. Our then current rep has said things are moving toward a subscription model but wouldn't have to change for a few years unless we wanted to add licenses or move from Horizon standard to Horizon Advanced or Enterprise.
When I started the process of renewing VMWare licensing for the year back in December for a March renewal.
